The rise of xenophobia in Europe

This is an excellent Euronews segment about the rise of anti-immigrant sentiment across Europe.

I get very passionate about this because I lived in Brussels for two years and a half until recently. So I’ve witnessed this stuff first hand.

I think the interviewees in this video make great points.

What I would add is: I don’t think Europe is paying enough attention to the proliferation of this dangerous sentiment. The problem right now is that xenophobic rhetoric is no longer limited to extremist parties. It has seeped into Europe’s popular discourse.
